Rape culture. Sexual violence. Consent. They are all such strong words, so so real and powerful and sometimes it takes the smallest step in the world to cross a line. It's scary to think you could unconsciously and accidentally encourage someone's unacceptable behaviour by not reacting in time, treating it as a joke or not being in the mental space to realise the severity. 

 

Here in MechSoc we will never accept, normalise or excuse this kind of behaviour. We promise to speak up and play our part in raising awareness as well as promoting and contributing to creating a safe environment for each and every one of us.
