MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

Mental health and wellbeing are a big topic for us and very close to our hearts!

May is dedicated to mental health awareness and we want to offer our time and resources to contribute to de-stigmatising mental health and help bring us all one step closer to a world where asking for help is considered normal and openly talking about your problems is not strange, avoided or ostracised.

Our posts are not a substitute for treatment and do not aspire to be professional guidelines, but aim to offer a better understanding by offering an accessible summary. All the issues we tackle are so much more complex that we could not possibly comprehend all of it into our little posts. We don't intend to trivialise, generalise or diminish any of the topics we tackle and if you feel we've done so in any way pleas get in touch.

a chat with Aaron Seabrook - VP Support

Aaron is one of the most genuine, caring guys we met at uni. He spoke a lot about mental health during his Surrey Decides manifesto and he joined us for a chat. He's the 2020/21 VP Support of our Students Union and we can't wait to follow his journey and work together on all-things support!

Our inboxes are always open, but we are not trained professionals - if you find yourself in a situation where you or a loved one requires trained expertise, please get in touch with a medical professional!
